LES SAISONS
The Sacred Dialogue Between Man and the Living World
With The Seasons, choreographer Thierry Malandain presents a luminous work that intertwines Antonio Vivaldi’s famous The Four Seasons with the lesser-known compositions of Giovanni Antonio Guido. Carried by these two musical works, the performance moves through time and emotion, celebrating the eternal cycle of nature.
Through a series of inspired scenes, the dancers explore the connections between humanity and the living world. True to his style, Thierry Malandain develops a simple, precise and accessible choreographic language, always serving the music.
The work leaves room for sensations and imagery, inviting each audience member to experience it in their own personal way. Between precision and poetry, The Seasons invite us to feel the beauty of the world and the passage of time.
“The work by the director of the Biarritz Ballet is truly magnificent.” — Le Figaro
“He offers a celebration of nature and the four seasons of the cycle of life.” — Le Monde
